- Core Responsibilities
Design Execution
• Create footwear CADs for new concepts, pattern revisions, and color updates.
• Develop visual design presentations and supporting materials for internal teams.
• Update existing designs based on feedback from Northstar designers and customers.
Pattern & Design Revisions
• Support upper pattern updates and outsole design revisions.
• Translate feedback from development and factory partners into updated CAD files.
Development Documentation
• Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation including:
• Bills of materials (BOM)
• Product specifications
• Measurements and construction details
• Maintain accurate design and specification information within Northstar’s PLM system.
Sample Development Support
• Quickly execute CAD and documentation revisions to support development cycles.
• Work with development teams to resolve design or construction challenges during sampling.
Trend & Market Research
• Conduct design and market research to support new development initiatives.
• Assist with creation of trend boards and visual inspiration materials.

Ideal Profile
• 3–6 years of footwear design or development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Creative Suite.
• Solid understanding of footwear construction and materials.
• Experience creating CAD, colorways, and tech packs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
