We began manufacturing rubber horseshoes in La Crosse, Wisconsin on a patch of land called Indian Hill - reputedly owned by "Buffalo Bill" Cody. The horseshoes soon gave way to rubber-coated fabrics and raincoats, which the company manufactured until 1906, when it switched to rubber footwear.
