- Key Responsibilities:
Merchandise & Inventory Planning:
• Develop and execute seasonal merchandise planning strategies to drive sales and profitability.
• Forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and manage stock allocations across channels.
• Analyze sales trends, product performance, and market insights to inform future buying decisions.
• Collaborate with the buying team to ensure optimal product assortments and stock availability.
Sales & Performance Analysis:
• Conduct detailed sales analysis to identify opportunities and risks in product performance.
• Provide actionable insights on best-selling products, slow-moving inventory, and market trends.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sell-through rates, margins, and stock turn.
Stock Management, Supply Chain & Allocation:
• Plan and manage efficient stock shipments to warehouse(s), oversee distribution across stores and online channels to maximize sell-through.
• Optimize inventory levels by balancing stock replenishment and minimizing overstock risks.
• Implement markdown and clearance strategies to reduce aged inventory while maintaining profitability.
Collaboration & Communication:
• Work closely with product development, marketing, and retail teams to align planning strategies with business goals.
• Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on sales performance and inventory health.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or a similar role in retail or wholesale.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting (Excel, BI tools, SQL and/or planning software).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strategic and detail-oriented mindset.
• Strong English communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced retail environment.
